Nothing beats the world famous sports car, the C3 3rd generation Corvette. Designed by Russian Zora Arkus-Duntov, the body was patterned after the Mako Shark II designed in 1965. The C3 body was made from 1968-1982. Not only is the Corvette one of the coolest looking American sports cars, it’s also one of the fastest. Able to run at 140 mph with little to no effort, specific tires were designed for corvettes to reliably sustain the car’s stability at high speed.
The 1971 model was the first Corvette to have AC installed. ‘71 Model year was the only one to offer LS6 454 cubic inch big block engine with aluminum heads to deliver 425 horsepower (though secretly this was far below the actual number).
